Well, I am a Teow Chew girl with knowing a very little Teow Chew dialect and always been scold by my Dear Ah Gong (Grandfather). My papa (dad) and Ah Gong keep scolding us like: " U r a Teow Chew lang (Teow Chew People), and u don't know how to speak Teow Chew dialect." Then every time I was like : "=P I don't know ma."
My Ah Gong and Ah Ma (Grandmother) had passed away for so many years, and now I miss their voice in Teow Chew dialect! Owh! I miss them. I miss their Teow Chew~ Now only i can heard Teow Chew when my dad and mum is having conversation or when all my aunties and uncles coming back~
All my dad's siblings are still talking in Teow Chew. I still can understand what they are talking about but not all...=P Sometime I keep asking what is the meaning of this and that and my aunties still explaining to me. They are so cute when they talking in their dialect, I mean in Teow Chew dialect.. LOL
